Ikumi Nakaya (JP)
For more than ten years Ikumi Nakaya is a printing artist based in Tokyo and regularly exhibits in galleries and shops. While her print work is based on fine art, she is also engaged to draw and create own imaginative characters and piles up her sketchbooks of cute monsters inspired by all kind of animals and familiar stuff surrounding her. Ikumi Nakaya took a degree in sculpture in London, her production skill is not exclusive to 2D but also other media such as 3D and photography. Recently she started to finalize her monsters in silkscreen print. Using vivid colours and combined with noble pattern background, her characters project not only cuteness but accompany fashionable esthetics and gorgeousness.
