Andreas Hummel (GER)
Andreas Hummel was born near Nuremberg, Germany in 1984. He started his career as IT specialist for systems integration before moving to Salzburg, Austria to study 3D animation and game design. He switched to the visual medium because he is addicted to color and needs the visual feedback in his work. After college he worked for Studio Soi as 3D generalist, compositing artist and finally as compositing supervisor. Andreas currently lives in Lucerne, Switzerland where he is doing a MA in animation. In his current projects he seeks to combine different analog & digital styles and techniques.
Andreas has worked on “The Amazing World of Gumball”, “The Gruffalo’s Child”, and “Room on the Broom”. The latter, for which he was compositing supervisor, was nominated for the Oscars 2014.
