Fabi Santiago (UK)
Fabi Santiago is a children’s book author & illustrator based in London, UK. She has been making pictures since she held her first crayon and honed her commercial awareness from a young age, trading her drawings for chocolate during lunch break at school. Her debut picture book, Tiger in a Tutu, was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and has now been optioned into a play. She has written and illustrated other titles since and her books have been translated into many different languages. Her mum is proud.
Fabi’s strengths are character-driven storytelling, punchy colour palettes and quirky characters. Fabi is keen to expand her work to other medias – and on a side note, she now takes payment in doughnuts.
